El Rancho Vista Estates | Palm Springs

El Rancho Vista Estates is one of the original mid-century modern neighborhoods in Palm Springs. This neighborhood has been resurrected over the years, and today, it has some of the finest example of mid-century modern architecture in the city. Home to many of Donald Wexler’s earlier homes, El Rancho Vista has a variety of home shapes and is home to a thriving community of families, artists, filmmakers, musicians, and architects.

History Of El Rancho Vista Estates Homes For Sale
Construction of this neighborhood began between 1959 and 1960. Approximately sixty Modern homes were designed by famed architects Donald Wexler and Rick Harrison and constructed by developer Roy Fey. Intended to bring a high-end Modernist style to the working class, many of these homes have in-ground pools and master-landscaped yards. There are three main models constructed with different silhouettes.  Donald Wexler owned a house in this neighborhood himself, which showed how much pride he took in this development. Starting in the 1970s other ranch-style homes were added to the neighborhood.
