3 Annual Festivals in Cathedral City

Annual Hot Air Balloon Festival and Food Truck Fiesta

One of Cathedral City’s most famous celebrations happens every November. The city’s beautiful skies and clear weather are the perfect conditions for locals to set off hot air balloons, giving riders a chance to see the gorgeous oasis from high above. In addition, you can participate in activities like watching hot air balloon races, listening to jazz concerts, and even enjoying the menus of food trucks. Joining this year’s hot air balloon festival is the Food Truck Fiesta, which has all sorts of meals and treats.

Tejano Music Festival

The 4th annual Tejano Music Festival is held at the Cathedral City Community Amphitheater to celebrate Mexican-American food, music, and culture. Also, enjoy a night of Tejano music combining many popular and folk music genres from Mexican-Americans. Get to know people while jamming to live performances from famous artists such as Grupo Xplosion, Tejano Highway 28, and Ram Herrera, who will play alongside local bands such as Chalito Zapata y Los Traviesos. This event will be a night to remember.

Taste of Jalisco Festival

Yet another event coming back this February is the Taste of Jalisco Festival. Celebrate the sounds, sights, and tastes of Jalisco, Mexico, Cathedral City’s sister city. In addition, the event has a unique cuisine and festival dances. Its highlights include a giant Ferris wheel that overlooks the Festival Lawn and a lively performance from different regional musical acts on the Jalisco Community Stage. The festival is free admission and open to the public.

There are many other exciting events to look forward to this year in Cathedral City. Each event celebrates the city’s history, culture, and people. You’ll have a great time at these wonderful festivities.
