Historic Tennis Club | Palm Springs

One of the earliest settlements in Palm Springs, the Historic Tennis Club neighborhood takes its name from the world-class Palm Springs Tennis Club that was developed by one of Palm Springs original residents, Pearl McCallum McManus. It is located at the base of the San Jacinto Mountains just steps from the city’s downtown core.

This neighborhood is popular among buyers who love to be a part of the most vibrant aspects of Palm Springs.

Walking or biking to the heart of downtown is a snap, and if the great outdoors is your thing, you can venture out into the startlingly beautiful desert, canyon and mountain landscape to the west and south of this neighborhood and enjoy an extensive network of fine hiking trails. Historic Tennis Club real estate is not cheap, but it’s worth every penny.

The Historic Tennis Club neighborhood is made up of roughly 240 single-family homes, numerous townhome- and apartment-style condos, and twenty-five exclusive, boutique hotels. Some of the houses in this neighborhood are among the most expensive properties on the Palm Springs real estate market.

Multimillion-dollar properties designed by famed architects are scattered throughout, many of which date back to the ‘30s and ‘40s. Buyers who are interested in investing in a luxury property will find options ranging from old Spanish haciendas to mid-century modern to California ranch homes in the Historic Tennis Club.

There are also several townhome-style condominiums on the market. These often have private courtyards and floor plans as large as 2,000 square feet. Apartment-style condos are also available in this neighborhood and make perfect vacation homes.
